Markus Giebel was the CEO of Deyaar Development PJSC, a public traded real estate company listed on the DFM (Dubai Financial Market) until mid-2010.

Until 2004 Mr. Giebel was as a senior executive of Corning, a Fortune 500 firm headquartered in the US. In 2002 he became the youngest Vice President of Corning after the successful acquisition of Siemens NK valued at US$ 1.5 billion.
Throughout his career, Mr. Giebel was presented with several awards and distinctions, including the CEO Award of the Middle East (2010), the Leadership Award of the Middle East (2010), the INSEAD case study (2009), the Business Award from the German Ministry of Economic Affairs (2004) and other honours.
He was awarded over 25 patents and holds a Masters’ degree in Business Administration from the Switzerland Business School, and a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Munich in Germany.
Jurgen E. Herre has 30 years of experience in investment banking, real estate investment and development, property management and asset management. From 2000 till 2010 Mr. Herre was MD Europe and later Head MENA of Hines (www.hines.com) which is one of the world’s largest real estate companies.
Before joining Hines Mr. Herre was a partner in one of the leading German residential real estate companies with a portfolio of around Euro 2 billion. Between 1988 and 1998 Mr. Herre held senior positions at Landesbank Baden-Wuerttemberg with major focus on real estate investment banking worth several US$ billions.
Throughout his career Mr. Herre was involved in projects with a combined value exceeding US$ 16 billion. Furthermore, Mr. Herre was a member of the Capital & Markets team of Hines which has raised more than US$ 20 billion of equity from investors for Hines’s global activities.
